Positive LFTs - negative PCR

I have had multiple positive LFTs. Took a PCR on Saturday due to contact with a positive but that was negative.
Then had positive LFT on Monday so took PCR which came back yesterday as negative.
Since taken more LFTs today and thy have come back positive so I have another PCR today.

Work have said I have to go in tomorrow as the PCR overrides the LFTs even though they are still showing up strong instant positives.

Of course, if the PCR comes back positive tomorrow I will have to go back into isolation.
Is there chance that the PCR was negative due to it being too early? Or a false positive?

I had this with my ds. My dd was positive by pcr, tested ds with lft and he was positive, first pcr was negative, did another 4 days later a d that was also negative but he was testing positive on lft for 12 days so I'm not sure what was going on but due to the fact dd was positive I assumed his would be right too. A pcr does override a lft but if your still tested positive on lft and negative on pcr I would contact 119 and ask them for information. I rang them for my ds and they advised me to isolate him as it's very strange to get that many positive lft and the school agreed. I also know of a few people who've tested positive on pcr and negative on lft. It's all so confusing.

Yep I had 4 positive lateral flows. 2 pcrs that apparently couldn't be read and then a negative pcr. Today's lateral flow is negative.

Work rightly don't want me back. I have a cough and breathlessness. It's all so confusing.

My sister has 3 positive lfts and 2 negative pcrs. Work expected her in but she isolated from family
