If you lost your sense of smell what day of infection was it?

DD is on Day 12 of her isolation so now back to school. She had bad cold symptoms, feeling sick and a dry cough. She's just today lost her sense of smell. Is that normal? Seems very late if she's now on Day 14. Just a bit concerned that she's come out of isolation too soon.

Day four for me, am on day five now and miss it desperately already!

About day 7 for me, maybe later. When I was past the worst of it (except the fatigue... 😣)

Around day 7 or 8 of symptoms I think

Day 3 or 4 for me. Still not back after 9 weeks and I get the hallucinatory cigarette smoke smell all the time.

We lost ours about day 14 roughly. It happened as we were getting better!

Day 5 lost it while waiting for PCR to come back. So was no doubt it be positive.

It’s been months. I can taste but still not smell a thing

I was late with the smell thing. About day 12 perhaps? It slowly coming back now (nearly 2months after first positive test)

Today! Day 4.

I can taste sweet/salty etc but food has no flavour because I can't smell a thing. In fact I couldn't eat a pizza today as it was overpoweringly salty without the other flavours to balance it out.

I will be gutted if it's not back in time for Xmas dinner

Day 3-4. It came back after about 2-3 weeks.

Day 4 or 5 for me too. Just coming back now on about day 15.

Yes! Exactly this. I had to throw away some toast because it tasted bitter too.

Spicy food with no flavour is just rank.

I had a medium rare steak at at fancy restaurant and couldn't get it down because the texture was actually disgusting when you could taste it. Then I salted it and all I could taste was the salt.

Sweet came back first for me though.

Also day 4 or 5. Came back after about 10 days.
