Booster Side Effects

I have yet to book my booster & a little concerned about the side effects. A friend was as sick as a dog the day after hers. Just wondering if anyone has suffered anything after theirs? Incidentally I had a banging headache after my first jab & just a sore arm after the second.

There are countless threads about this. Everyone is different & no-one can predict how you will react. FWIW my family have all had boosters with no side effects, but two friends were quite unwell with theirs. Whatever, you will be fine in 24-48 hours, unlike with a bad dose of Covid.

Well everyone is different ... I had mine yesterday, sore arm by evening & bang on 12 hours later woke up at 4am absolutely rough as tits. Felt like I'd been run over by a truck after having gone 20 rounds in the ring with Mike Tyson. I lay in bed for ages too sick to even contemplate getting up to take painkillers but I managed eventually to stumble downstairs and get some.

Have been bad all day but I'll feel better gradually better tomorrow & as week goes on. Managed to do some work (slowly; brain fog). I was the same with first jab; second jab I was just knackered. I don't mind, as at least I know why I feel like this instead of wondering if I have actual Covid/flu/yet another of DD's illnesses from nursery & I know the vaccine is working & having an effect on my body.

Still worth it in my opinion & I was prepared to feel ill given the first jab. Others I know have had negligible side effects.

100% fine after all mine with no side effects whatsoever.
Just get it booked and don't overthink it, afterwards you will probably wonder what you were worrying about.

I felt rough for 48 hours then absolutely fine again. Not as bad as the side effects of my second dose.

I had a high temperature and a sore arm. Just felt general a bit shit for 24hours. Pretty much the same as my first jab (nothing after 2nd)

Had mine today. Completely forgot about it till I saw this thread Grin

Nothing at all. I was too busy whinging about my sore arm from my flu jab (had both together!)
I did have a nap but that was more being lazy Grin

I know more people that have had side effects after their booster than haven't. I also know a few people that have had Covid recently, their symptoms and recovery time were far worse. Can't say I'm looking forward to my booster but it's a short lived reminder of how awful Covid can be.

Yes, I’m feeling like crap after mine. But it’s worth it. Side effects from a jab can range from nothing to horrible, but are essentially harmless and short lived. It’s not the same as having an actual illness. If you get Covid you could end up struggling to breathe, in hospital, ill for weeks, you could get long Covid, and you could infect other people. I feel very sorry for myself today but I’d still do it again!
