Postal test turn around.

Dp has covid. Ordered a home test for Ds. Although we can get to the test centre easily enough, testing is really distressing for DS - he is on the spectrum.

How long are the results taking?
Planning to get into the post today! There is no priority box where I live though so have to drive to one 🤯

He has no symptoms but Dp is asymptomatic so the kids could be too so worried about sending them to school.

I've tested negative on a pcr but planning to take another.

Took 4 days for DD last week.

Took 48 hrs almost to the minute of posting in a priority box. Last week.

Oh god no!! We've only ever done drive in and results have always been back within 14-15 hours!

Posted mine on Thursday and still waiting, I'm constantly refreshing my emails!

Posted Thursday afternoon. Received text message at 6 this morning

I did a postal one a couple of weeks ago. Posted Friday morning got positive result late on Sunday

Posted Wednesday afternoon, results Friday morning (positive, which I knew as positive LFT and DD already had positive PCR)

Requested them Thursday. Got them the next day (Friday). Posted back in evening of same day. Got results late sat night/Sunday morning.

Posted Wednesday afternoon. Still waiting a result (I know it arrived Friday at 1am from the tracking)

Mine is saying it got delivered late Thursday night, I'm really hoping I get them today the wait is driving me mad!

I'm on the receiving end of the results from these and in my experience over the last few weeks, the quickest was 3 days and the longest 6. Most were 4 days.

DD‘s result took 38 hrs from Wednesday pm, mine took 28 hrs from Thursday pm.

Posted Tuesday, still waiting.

Requested Mon, arrived Wed posted Wed, results Sat. No use nor ornament to anyone.

Had my results today at 5pm, so 2 days after I posted them

Had our postal tests back within 24 hours of posting this week. DS's did take a little longer at about 27 hours today! Drive in has been around 15 hours lately!

Posted yesterday afternoon into priority postbox - collection was at 4pm and got results next day ( today) at 10pm

Posted Monday morning 8am, results back lunchtime Tuesday.

Waited the full 10-day isolation period and heard nothing back. Phoned just out of interest (the result was irrelevant by that time) and was told "oh yes, it was negative, sorry we didn't let you know" then get a text message within the hour to confirm the negative result 🤦‍♀️
