My dd 9 had to go for a pcr test last week as she has been in close contact with another pupil who has tested positive despite showing zero symptoms. It was negative so she went back to school last Friday. We had a call this morning just as we were leaving the house to say a case has been identified at breakfast club and she needed another test, she doesn't go to breakfast club but apparently the pupil has been in contact with my dd. What a waste of bloody time and resources it's absolutely crazy to be testing children when they don't have any symptoms. Not to mention a pain in the arse for working parents who have to keep taking time off work.
