Afternoon everyone, just looking for some advice, I had Covid nearly 3weeks ago now but I wasn't and haven't been vaccinated, only because I have a heart condition an Iv heard the jabs can cause blood clots how true it is I don't know, but anyway Im just looking for advice if I should have them or not. Will the jabs affect me in a bad way because iv had Covid or will they help me?
Thanks x

You need to wait a month after having covid before getting vaccinated.

I’d have a conversation with your gp about your personal risk given your health issues and they’ll almost certainly reassure you that going ahead and getting vaccinated is a safe and sensible course of action.

You need to get advice from the medical profession not randoms on MN.

I echo what the first two responses say. You need advice from someone who knows your medical history. They can advise on risk of being seriously affected by covid v risk of being seriously affected by the vaccine.

It could be that you have good antibodies now and have a few months to decide what to do but again only a doctor can tell you this.

Thank you everyone for your responses, I'll get in touch with my gp, Iv seen so many good and bad answers and its made me
Feel so insecure, I'm still struggling with my breathing now but I'm slowly on the mend.
Thank you everyone for your time x
