Do PCR results come through together?

Two of my children had a PCR yesterday, and we’ve only got the results for one?! When we’ve done multiple PCR’s before the results always came through at the same time.

Am I likely to still get the results for the missing one? Does this usually happen when you have multiple, and we’ve just been lucky before?

Not in my experience. My DH got his result almost 12 hours before the kids came through. The kids came through a few hours apart. I think it’s just luck of the draw. Mine have always come though really quickly (under 24 hrs) but they were waiting over 24 hours for theirs

No, can be quite big differences in time too.

Ffs loads of tests go off to the lab altogether and no, they won’t be in the order of who went with who.

Test results can take up to 72 hours at the moment
