Booster here or abroad?

DD had her second vaccine middle of August in UK. She's now a student in an EU country and can get a booster there. She's hoping to make it home for xmas depending on Omicron and to be honest what her host country requires. If not, definitely March as no uni and fairly sure she can pick up work.

I did read somewhere that it might be brought in that everyone needed to have a vaccine/booster within six months for travel, so something to bear in mind, but at the same time if she has it abroad it won't be on our NHS app. Does anyone have any thoughts?

They are working on it but… who knows how long it will take?

I'm hoping they'll soon sort this out too as I have, so far, remained unvaccinated due to the jabs offered in the UK not being suitable for my medical condition. I am hoping to take the Chinese vaccine, which is available on the Continent.

What, both the AZ & mRNA vaccines are unsuitable? That's weird as they are completely different technologies. Hope you can get one of the Chinese ones soon then.

I have been pondering the same re DS who is in a similar situation. Generally I would say it's best to get all jabs in the same country if you can, as I've seen so many accounts on social media of people unable to provide the required proof of vaccination status when they've had jabs in different countries (- the current system doesn't even seem to be able to cope with one jab in England and one in Wales!)
