Positive lateral flow then negative pcr

I first got a positive lateral flow, then inconclusive pcr and then negative pcr.
However ds got a positive pcr around the time of my positive lateral flow.
The symptoms I have are no smell/ taste.
I have been isolating for a week so far with ds. I have been double vaccinated and I feel sense of smell is returning ever so slightly.
But wondering was I really ever positive? I have had a cold for ages. Had a previous negative pcr a few days before positive lateral flow test.
I did all the tests properly.
Confused

I know someone who had 3 negative PCR tests (pre vaccine, pre LFT) but had an antibody blood test and it confirmed she had had Covid so it’s possible you were really positive.

Perhaps you had a low viral load, but did have it. They say not to bother with PCR test after 5 days of symptoms, so maybe this is the case with you, due to the inconclusive one, but as you’ve had all the symptoms, it’s annoying not knowing for definite.

Thanks, that is good to know
