Are you meant to receive an email to ask you've registered a test

I registered 4 tests online yesterday after we walked into a center without an appoitment and I never received an email or text to say I had done it, however I did have confirmation on the computer screen that it had registered. Is this correct

I'm not clear what you mean tbh, but when I booked an NHS PCR test I got an email confirmation then was emailed and texted the result afterwards. Nothing to confirm I had been to the appointment.

Lateral flow tests you report the results yourself and have to choose to receive text and email confirmation of negative results reported.

Ahh see i didn't book i walked into the test center with out an appointment they let me do the test then I had to register them online when I got home

Were they LFTs if you had to register them at home? In which case what do you mean about it showing as registered on the screen - your computer at home? I’ve always received emails confirming the result. Have you double checked spam/junk boxes?

I also did a walk in test yesterday and registered the test on my phone while sat at the testing desk.
I didn't receive any confirmation of registration snd got my test result through during the night as normal via email and text, thankfully negative.
So this sounds ok to me, as long as you have a record of your barcode jn case you need to chase up
