Rapid flow test -nasal swab only

I want to get some more tests but really want those where you don't have to swab your tonsils .

Are they all like this now ?

All the ones I have been sent recently have all been nasal swabs.

I order mine online and they've been like this for a while now. So easy to order online, they usually arrive in 2 days.

All of mine still need throat and nose.
I’m in Wales and they seem to come from Bristol according to what’s on the delivery label.

I have flowflex and orient gene ones and they are both nose only. Read the instructions though as they differ between the tests

I order mine online and the most recent ones are nose only. My teen DD only brings that type home but my teen DD (6th form college) only seems to bring the old style ones home.

Yes do read the instructions (I didn't til afterwards)

We've got the nasal/throat ones. DD is unable to swab her tonsils so does nose only. Got very feint positive at the weekend followed by positive PCR so I'm reassured that they work without doing both.

The last one I used was blue box

The PCRs I've had were fine but the lateral flow ...I sneeze as soon as I do the nasal sample! How do I stop that? Presume it gives a wrong result.

It's like it's made of super ticklish material! I would prefer throat only!

Ah ,interesting mejon ,I've been wondering about using the throat and nose ones that I have by just doing the nose .I throw up if I try to do back of throat ( cancer surgery has left me with a stomach in a different position and no valve at top of stomach ).

@peridito We did another LFT on DD today just to see if was showing positive. Nose only - and pretty half-hearted twirls around each nostril before complaining it hurts (she's 15!!) and the positive line was a little stronger this time.

I've ordered several extra boxes online over the past week and they'e all been the 'old' style. Quicker ones would be preferable as we're currently doing them daily whilst DD is isolating.
