Done my lft test tonight and this is the result. I take it this is positive? I've booked my PCR for tomorrow morning. Really bad timing as I've got my booster booked for Sunday
I'm a bit anxious because I'm 52 and clinically vulnerable. I know I should be ok and my 79 year old mum had it back in august and was fine but still...
I've managed to avoid it all this time despite working in a school as well.
Only symptoms so far are that I've had what I thought was a bit of a cold for the last day or so - runny nose and scratchy throat (a bit hoarse today.) Just worried it will get a lot worse...Sad

Bless you. If it is positive here's hoping you sail through. X

Yes that looks exactly like my first positive LFT. They are unlikely to give a false positive so definitely book the PCR.

I was able to get a clearer positive by repeating and swabbing much harder and higher. And then a really strong line the next day. Not that I think there's any doubt but helped me to be sure before the PCF result confirmed.

It's highly likely you will be fine as you are vaccinated but yes you will have to postpone the booster for 28days.

Yes, sorry that looks positive to me. I've also tested positive on LF today and been for a PCR, i feel the same. I cant help but worry. At the moment I've just got what feels like the start of a cold. 2 of my children also have covid. Hope your feeling ok and that you sail through it x

It is so similar to the one my OH (aged 59) took on Saturday (faint line) and then the next day a more positive black line - like you, was bad timing as he was due for his booster that day, and could not go. However, we are now 5 days on, and although he feels full of cold and has had achy bones at times, tired, and a bit of breathlessness when he exerts himself, so does not feel great, he is not feeling really bad. Certainly he has had worse. It seems to affect people so differently, but don't fear it and follow the advice about when you should call for help, DD2 has caught it and is almost fine. I am clinically vulnerable and having seen DH and DD, I am actually less worried than I would have been if none of us had caught it. I hope you are probably in for a couple of days of feeling 'unwell', but please don't worry on top ! xxx
