Faint line on LFD - pic

Quick one, and apologies if this has been asked lots before, but can a positive test show as a very faint line, rather than a solid dark one?

Took 2 today and looks like a faint line.. fainter on the second than the first. Have gone for a PCR, results tomorrow hopefully.

Just wondered if its like when you take pregnancy tests and they get darker over a few days?

How long did you leave them for? If they were left for the correct amount of time, then yes they look positive.

To be honest the top one I forgot about, and I think it could have been slightly longer than half an hour but not much.

The second one was half an hour.

Yes my husbands started like this and got darker over a few days. He got a positive pcr

Yes they are positive if they were checked at the correct time.

Looks like my sons lft and he tested positive.

Strangely just taken a third test which is completely negative.

Will await the PCR test result tomorrow.

Yes they’re positive. We’ve had the same and PCRs came back positive

I have had two LFTs like that. Both PCRs were negative.

Have been coughing a lot this afternoon, but have got a snotty cold, so hoping its just that.

I had a very faint positive on a lateral flow, did PCR a couple of hours later and came back positive.
I just feel like I have a cold

@gingerninja99 I feel the same, although my cough has ramped up in the last few hours.

Chest feeling a bit tight too but that could be psychosomatic.

My cough not too bad, just now and again. Chest gets a bit tight but again only now and then. If I haven't been doing the LFT I wouldn't have thought about it so quickly

My daughter had a whole week of these faint lines, no symptoms, different batches too just incase and 2 negative pcr.
Was told by 119 to ignore and go by pcr and retest if symptoms change.

Just a quick update, PCR came back negative.

Jyst got a nasty spluttery cold!
