Say can book now for second dose but when eventually get to first online it says 'not eligible'. Is it that they need to load everyone on and it takes time?

They won't have updated the system yet

Orchidflower1 · 29/11/2021 16:59

It still needs to be 12 weeks I think since the first one.

DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 16:59

No I suspect it’s that it’s been announced before they’ve updated the system - the check is done when you put in their birthdate…so presumably that’s all they check!

While you’re waiting for the second jab sign the petition here to get them access to the Covid pass!!

Although why you can’t have a system that lets you book whenever you want but only for appointments 12 weeks later I don’t know!!!

DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 17:01

Dd has the NHS app/online access and she’s 14…

Our doctors say 16......:-s

Our doctor won't let me have proxy access to my kids records, and also (so far) won't let them have their own access either...

DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 18:07

Sorry to hear that - That’s a bit shit :-( usually you just need a surgery reference code and then you sign up for an nhs login .

ThisSeason1 · 29/11/2021 18:12

I had missed the news about this so glad you posted OP - our Feb break is back on :)

Is that in England @DorotheaDiamond? How did she go about getting it?
DorotheaDiamond · 29/11/2021 19:31

I signed her up for an NHS login - you need a referral number of some sort from the gp and a surgery code…don’t try to do it without (adults can do
It with id/face recognition but it huggers things up if you try that with kids)…

PlinkPlankPlunk · 29/11/2021 19:35

Thank you! It’s the GP bit I don’t understand; ours are impossible to get hold of and I’m not sure what to ask for anyway. Definitely looking into it anyway!

AuntArctic3000 · 29/11/2021 20:27

We have been informed that to get access to online records for under 16, child has to be assessed for Gillick competency by the GP and until this is done and GP has entered the appropriate code to the system, online access can't be granted. All we have to do is actually get a GP appointment to facilitate this!

PlinkPlankPlunk · 29/11/2021 21:14

Oh no - that will never happen! It’s impossible to get an appointment when they’re sick, never mind for an admin thing. Oh well, we’ll have to hope they won’t need the COVID pass fir a while!

GhoulWithADragonTattoo · 29/11/2021 22:34

Won’t it be administered at school like most first doses?

DorotheaDiamond · 30/11/2021 07:16

There were walk ins too - that’s how dd got hers!
