How far up the nose for lft on DC?

I've currently got one DC12 with Covid, lft testing DC7 but he won't let me swab his nostrils - he'll only do it himself but I'm worried he's not putting it up far enough. Those who swab their little ones, how far up do you swab? Thanks

Get him to blow his nose first. The swab should go up until you meet a little resistance. Tell him to circle the swab ten times rather than count ten seconds.

My 5 year old will only accept a test if she has an element of control. So she puts it up her nose but I ask her to do it a bit further and then I count 5 or 10 swirls. It picked up her covid which she had no symptoms for.
