Covid Booster

Has anyone had sickness after this? A friend was as sick as a dog the following day. I hate being sick! Obviously it’s a hell of a lot better than getting Covid.

No. Had Moderna booster, not even a sore arm.
Get your jab.

SonicBroom · 28/11/2021 23:30

Have a look on the Covid board, there are long threads on effects / availability of boosters

milly74 · 28/11/2021 23:36

yes, nausea after the Astra Zeneca ( each jab) and Moderna booster, also severe chills, headaches, dizziness. Lasted about 48 hours x Delayed period after AZ as well.

nancy75 · 28/11/2021 23:40

Temp, chills & headache after AZ 1, fine after 2, bit of a headache & a bit tired for 24 hours after Pfizer booster.
Worst thing about booster was the sore arm, but as I had a bloody big bruise I put that down to the person that did the jab rather than the jab itself (I think he was having a bad day & took it out on my arm!)

WeAreTheHeroes · 28/11/2021 23:40

Nothing after AZ x2 or Moderna booster.

groundcontroltomontydon · 28/11/2021 23:42

Felt a bit nauseous the following day, then fine. I hate feeling sick too but it didn't last long and it's worth it. (My brother had his booster and was absolutely fine.)

Theplantisgrowing · 28/11/2021 23:44

Hardly any side effects but jeez hasn't this been done to death? So what if you're a bit off for a day or so after? Surely the potential alternative is a lot worse?!

TheDogsMother · 29/11/2021 00:18

I had the Pfizer booster yesterday and have a sore arm and a bit of tiredness. I can deal with that.

Fadette · 29/11/2021 00:19

No just a headache.

badlydrawnbear · 29/11/2021 00:34

No, no side effects at all.

PleaseReferToMeAsBritneySpears · 29/11/2021 00:43

I had a Pfizer booster. No nausea or vomiting but lots of other common side effects.

ThereWeAreThen79 · 29/11/2021 00:43

I'm booked in tomorrow for mine. I got covid in September and am still off work as I was so poorly. Dread to think how it would've been if I hadn't been fully vaxxed.

to be honest it was more than just a bit off. Felt really ill
CrimbleCrumble1 · 29/11/2021 08:38

I was ill with first AZ jab, fine with second and fine with booster. I did get Covid quite bad 5 months after second dose.

bluetowers · 30/11/2021 23:15

Yes. Felt sick all day and hideous headache

WeAreTheHeroes · 01/12/2021 05:44

I take it back: realise now I felt a bit under the weather for around 24 hours after the Moderna booster. Low level headache and feeling as though I was coming down with something, but paracetamol worked. Vaccination site was sore too.
