Test and Trace questions

DH is waiting for a PCR result. If he’s positive I presume T&T will call him - will he need to give details of contacts for 48 hours before symptoms start or longer? He won’t be able to give many details as he’s been in shops so I presume he would just give the date and shop name?

Also, he’s partially deaf and struggles on the phone, will it be a problem for me to answer for him if he has T&T on loudspeaker?

Last question, will they want my details? It seems pointless as we obviously live together so I’d rather they didn’t contact me. We won’t be isolating from each other so I’ll be sensible anyway. Can he not give my details?

yes they ask for household contacts.

He should be able to do the online form.

Thank you. I’ve told him to tell them he doesn’t know my mobile number (he doesn’t know it off by heart) and just give an email address

I tested positive yesterday. They sent me an online form to complete. For household contacts you can tick a box to say that you take responsibility to tell them. For shops etc you just give the name of who and date. Hope he is OK.

Thanks a lot. I think he’s fine to be honest, we had a Chinese last night and I think something irritated his throat (it’s happened in the past) as he hasn’t coughed all day. I hope you’re ok @ceeveebee

My 6 year old tested positive but the rest of us negative. Obviously it was registered under my number so they called and emailed me etc and I filled in the online form on his behalf.

For household contacts they just used the number they had for me and sent lots of texts to my number addressed to each different family member
