same day PCR

Hello after yesterday's announcement I'm having to totally replan my three day trip to uk, which is essential.

I am due to land late at. night, so can't do a day 0 PCR test, so the earliest will be day 1. Does anyone know of a place in the Manchester area ( i'll travel to do what it takes!) where I can get a same day PCR test, that's less than 24 hours for the results?

If I drive and not fly do I still need to do the day two test? I'm fully vaccinated too, which doesn't seem to make any difference with the changes.

What time do you land? There is testing at MAN but I think it doesn't open till 07:00. Could you hang about or drive back if it's not too far?

Hi, I’m in exact same predicament. Flying into London for a long weekend and can’t find any express PCR tests that are valid for arrivals. All the express PCR tests are pre-departure tests, I’m not sure I can book that for a day 2 arrivals test.
Not sure if it’s even an option, they all seem to be the standard next day results.
