Any point doing another pcr?

Second attempt at posting.
I tested positive using a lateral flow test but the pcr was inconclusive.
I have been isolating since I did the lateral flow and I have some symptoms.
Worth sending off for another pcr?

Do another lateral flow if it's positive I wouldn't bother with pcr unless you need proof of it

Yes, I would because it wasn’t negative and the LFT is reason enough to believe you have covid. You might find it useful at some point in your future to have covid on tour medical records now. Otherwise if you need to test for hospital or holiday etc in a couple of months’ time and test positive, you could have plans disrupted and need to isolate unnecessarily.

This was dd this week. Follow up pcr was positive

PurpleDaisies · 27/11/2021 15:42

Yes. That’s what you’re told to do following an inconclusive result.

Yes, that's what they tell you to do
