Vomiting

My dd had stomach cramps and has just been sick. I know that this can be a symptom of covid in children. She had a negative lft this morning. She has no other symptoms have anyone else dc had covid and vomiting has been the only symptoms?

The 2 recent cases I know of in 10 year olds have involved tummy ache only

We’ve just had a stomach bug go wild in our school & amongst a friends whose kids are all connected via kids clubs. Never crossed anyone minds it’s covid. This bug was so grim. It’s wiped us all out. And the minute you think it’s over, someone is sick again 😵‍💫 I had the mildest version in my household & a week later I’m still not right. No more sick but I feel sick when I eat 😩

Stomach bugs have existed lonngggg before covid. They are the worst. I would never assume a child vomiting is covid personally. Certainly in the absence of other symptoms. But that’s just me. If I knew they’d been close contact or something, I’d test.

Maybe hang on to see if you get it next 🙈 then you know it’s a bug!

I had gastric symptoms with Covid but it was the other end iyswim.

Just seems strange as she has only been sick once and now seems fine. I know it is a covid symptom in children. I will just keep doing lfts school are asking for them daily anyway as there has been an out break in her year.

My 5 year old complained of a sore tummy and was sick once, and he tested positive on a LFT the following day (a day earlier his LFT had been negative). He also had a bunged up nose but no other symptoms.
