Not sending back a PCR

Hi, my daughter coughed a few times this morning so I booked a PCR postal test for her. She’s been at home with her dad all day and absolutely fine. No temperature, no cough-absolutely fine. She hates the tests. Will anything happen if I now don’t complete the test? Will I get a phone call from track and trace asking why I haven’t done it? I really don’t feel I need to now. Thank you

Nothing will happen Smile

You'll probably get a reminder. I've got a postal PCR sitting in the cupboard from October. I got a reminder email, but nothing further.

No, they don’t track what happens to tests sent out at all!

I had a couple of emails/texts reminding me to send mine back. Can't remember exactly but there were at least two communications - and it only took me an extra day or two to send it off.

And then can you use them at a later date?

We ordered some but then because school was asking for them to be done before going in the same day I thought it was better to go to a drive through one which we did. I have some guilt about unused tests though!
