How long have postal tests been taking this week?

I’m still waiting on a result from Tuesday. The Royal Mail tracking shows it was delivered to the test centre on Tuesday evening but there’s no sign of the results yet. DS did a postal test last week which was back the next day so I’m getting impatient now! Thanks.

I sent ours back Monday morning. No results at 7.30 this morning so I rang the helpline. They said they had received it 68 hours ago but there wasn't a result registered yet. He said I should hear within 3-4 hours but to ring back if I have to heard in that timeframe.

It’s so frustrating isn’t it, I hope you get yours soon. Still no sign of ours.

I've just rung the helpline, they have received our tests but can't find a record of the results. They are going to look for them but it could take up to 3 more days!
They said there is quite a backlog.

I've had 3 of our 4 results back.

I'm glad 3 of yours have turned up, fingers crossed the last one arrives soon!

I've called 119 and been told I can chase after 72 hours from test time, which is tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it'll be back by then though.

Hopefully mine will be here by tomorrow. Although as my DD has Covid the result possibly won't be accurate by then as I have been exposed now for days since the test.

Got it back at last, negative!

I'm also waiting for postal test results - test was posted Tuesday. I'm so glad I saw this thread as I completely forgot that you can look up delivery on Royal Mail tracking. So I've just done that and found that it was delivered Tuesday evening.

I phoned the helpline earlier. The woman said she would phone the results team to get my result. She put me on hold and I held on for nearly half an hour before the call was dropped. Will try again tomorrow.

It's so frustrating - last time I did a postal test the result came back in the early hours of the following morning so that from test to result took just over 12 hours.

Came back yesterday evening, negative
DS his was posted Wednesday- came back this morning- positive.

DS had positive lateral flow on Monday. PCR test kit arrived Tuesday and I put it in the postbox at 3pm in time for 5pm collection.

Test results arrived at 7:30am this morning (positive).
