What day am I on?

Hey so I tested positive for Covid. I started feeling abit rubbish Friday, but out it down to tiredness Saturday coke didn’t feel great but was ok, Sunday felt absolutely awful with the worst headache Monday had headache but was ok done lateral had a faint line, went for pcr yesterday results come back positive today, my symptoms are now temp, cough stuffy nose and slight sore throat. I’m confused to what day I should be on. I’m not sure if that was the start of my symptoms on Friday or do I go by Sunday?
Anyone else had similar situation? I’m panicking I’m going to get worse.

Test and trace will advise. Generally, 1st day of symptoms = day 0. If no symptoms, its the day you tested.

I’d say Friday, so today is day 5.

I’m not sure the ‘crucial day 7’ thing even applies with delta though OP, haven’t heard of it recently. I certainly started feeling better by day 7.

This is specified in the guidance.

“ Your isolation period includes the day your symptoms started (or the day your test was taken if you do not have symptoms), and the next 10 full days. This means that if, for example, your symptoms started at any time on the 15th of the month (or if you did not have symptoms but your first positive COVID-19 test was taken on the 15th), your isolation period ends at 23:59hrs on the 25th”

My son also felt poorly on Friday. T and T have just told us his last day is isolation is 29th.
