Had booster and then tested positive

I had the booster yesterday and then did a lateral flow test today as DHs work colleague who came over last week has tested positive yesterday. I am positive now too.
What impact does having covid have on the booster jab's effectiveness?

I don't know but the same happened to my DH. Wondered if the booster would be more effective, or less effective? Did it make his symptoms worse or better? Will he get extra immunity? If anyone knows, I'd love to hear.

Dh got positive pcr couple of days after second jab. He had really mild covid just tired for couple of days.

It has no effect on the booster, you just might feel ill and you won't know if it's from the jab or Covid, that's all.
