I’ve been for a PCR this morning after coughing from when I woke up. Since then I’ve developed the most awful headache, spent 4 hours in bed desperately trying to get warm and feel absolutely awful. I had my booster booked for Saturday

It maybe covid but it could easily be another virus.

I agree. I’d have gotten a PCR too but I haven’t seen lots of reports of chills as a symptom so it may be that you’ve got a garden variety flu or similar.

Hold tight till you get your PCR result but tbh I think I’d reschedule the booster or find a walk in for when you’ve recovered either way.

Watapalava · 24/11/2021 17:59

I have covid and my over riding symptom was chills. Everyone i know whos had covid recently has had chills and muscle aches.

the80sweregreat · 24/11/2021 19:39

The chills and muscle aches are awful !
Headache and fatigue.
It's a nasty virus covid.

LifesTooShortYOLO · 24/11/2021 21:45

Hope you feel better soon op. Update us with PCR results x

DrMadelineMaxwell · 24/11/2021 21:46

Sounds exactly like the covid symptoms I had apart from developing the headache a day or two before the cough.

landofgiants · 24/11/2021 22:49

Sounds like Covid to me too. Fever is an uncommon symptom of a cold in adults. It could be flu. I had to cancel my flu jab because I had Covid - it felt like I had jinxed myself. I think I had all the symptoms apart from headache (including itchy eyeballs!), but much better now.

victoriaspongecake · 24/11/2021 22:53

Maybe you have a cold.

shivermetimbers77 · 24/11/2021 22:55

Sounds horrible, get well soon OP.

Iusedtobeasister · 25/11/2021 09:17

Best to get it out of the way before Christmas.

Budapestdreams · 25/11/2021 09:29

Sorry to hear that you're positive. Make sure you take regular paracetamol, drink lots of fluids and rest as much as possible. There are lots of other chat threads on the coronavirus board where people discuss how they are feeling at what stage. Hope you start feeling better soon 💐

Cornettoninja · 25/11/2021 10:20

@Iusedtobeasister bad luck. Take care of of yourself and I hope you’re feeling a lot better soon Flowers

the80sweregreat · 25/11/2021 10:23

To all those still struggling on today , wishing you all a speedy recovery ( or at least feeling better in the next day or two )
I'm still feeling tired if I try and do too much
Have to do things in small chunks and rest in between.
It is horrible.

Iusedtobeasister · 25/11/2021 10:48

I’m not really coughing now but I’m still switching between shivering and then having to wipe sweat off my whole body with a towel. The headache is awful but does ease with paracetamol. I also feel like I’ve been kicked in the kidneys which is odd
