Hi I have covid I'm now on day 4 touch wood its been pretty mild . But I hear it can get much worse. If it gets worse would it be reasonable to ask my son to not go to his boyfriend and help as home with the kids ?

Age?

Not being unreasonable depending on age.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 23/11/2021 18:57

You wouldn't be unreasonable to ask, but he wouldn't be unreasonable to say no. How old is he?

Cvid · 23/11/2021 19:03

Sorry he's 19

Well it’ll depend how poorly you are, but since you’re not too bad now I wouldn’t worry too much.

Can you just mention to him that if you feel worse you’d appreciate him staying in?

How old are the other kids? How many of them?

Eightandahalfyears · 23/11/2021 19:06

This is a non issue. You might not even get any worse.

FlamingoDust · 23/11/2021 19:51

I would ask if it gets much worse if he wouldn't mind or to be on call and come home if needed. I hope you continue to have mild symptoms Flowers

This. He doesn't 'have' to say yes, but it would be pretty unfeeling if he didn't.

Of course you wouldn't be unreasonable. I think most teenagers would help out in this situation.

Wilkolampshade · 24/11/2021 11:51

Of course you can! Why are you asking? Have you asked him and he's said no?

No I have not even asked yet I'm just worried I'd it gets worse. I get pretty breathless whenever I'm walking about. I can't do the stairs at all. I'm ok if I talk in a slow relaxed Manor but if I have to start repeating myself or if somone talks over me and I struggle to catch my breath If that happens. I'm just a bit scared of not being able ti out across how much I'm struggling. (If it gets worse )
