Can you all please comment the side effects you received after the Pfizer vaccin.

I currently breastfeed my 7 week old and I am praying I have mild symptoms after my jab tomorrow and also because I do have health anxiety and have been known to suffer from panic attacks in the past I don’t want any of this issues to rear there ugly head so to speak after my jab.

I just had a sore arm after my first. Less sore after my second, just felt tired.

authenticforgery · 23/11/2021 16:55

Zero side effects for both jabs while bfing my daughter. My arm was mildly sore but I didn't really notice until I laid on that side in bed.

mongoosebaby · 23/11/2021 16:58

I've had both Pfizer jabs whilst exclusively breastfeeding, first one when baby was 6 weeks. Very sore arm, also felt very tired (but perfectly possible that was a coincidence- hard to know when you have a baby lol)

Cookerhood · 23/11/2021 17:24

Is this your first jab? The most common side effect is a sore arm, then things like flu-like symptoms, headache etc. Most people don't get anything. The original studies showed slightly more side effetcs after the 2nd jab for Pfizer (& the first for AZ).

AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 17:34

@Cookerhood yes this will be my first jab, I was pregnant so choose not to vaccinate. I had covid September last year and was told I am more likely to have side effects from the vaccine from a MW who specialises in giving information to pregnant women about the vaccine.

I've just had my booster and I've felt dreadful for about 24 hrs. Headache, aches and so so tired.
I always react badly to vaccines, most of my friends and family have been totally fine after their covid vaccines but I've been really poorly every time!

Mushypeasandchipstogo · 23/11/2021 17:54

Perhaps I’m lucky but, apart from a slightly sore arm first time, I’ve had no ill effects whatsoever! Had my third Pfizer last week.

Mushypeasandchipstogo · 23/11/2021 17:56

I should add that the only people who I know who have felt slightly ill afterwards had the Astra/Zeneca vaccine.

Hotpinkangel19 · 23/11/2021 17:58

I had AZ for my first and I was fine, second was Pfizer and felt awful, but I'd had Covid in between so I think that's why I reacted as bad as I did.

@Bokky Thank you x

@crosbystillsandmash sorry to hear you haven’t been very well after your vaccinations, I don’t usually react bad to vaccines/injections so hopefully I will be ok.

AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 18:22

@Mushypeasandchipstogo Thank you for your comments I have heard the same here regarding the AZ and the Pfizer jabs so hopefully I will be ok too. X

AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 18:23

@Hotpinkangel19 Sorry to hear you wasn’t well recently everyone reacts differently to the vaccine but hoping I get the mild effects. X

crosbystillsandmash · 23/11/2021 18:25

Sounds like you'll be ok op?
I never react well to vaccines, so inevitably the covid vaccines have made me poorly!

Good luck when you get yours op, I'm sure you'll be fine Thanks

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 18:35

Sore arm for few days after 1st Pfizer, nothing else.
Sllghtly sore but plus headache for a few hours after 2nd.

Good luck

ecceromani · 23/11/2021 18:36

Slightly sore arm, not a sore but🤷🏼‍♀️

AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 18:57

@crosbystillsandmash Sorry to hear you don’t react well to vaccinations. I really hope I am ok 🤞🏼I definitely want to avoid making myself anxious because of side effects as I really don’t want to have a panic attack.

AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 18:57

@ecceromani Thank you for your comment hoping for the same for me 🤞🏼

User0ne · 23/11/2021 19:01

I had my first at 8w post partum; sore arm, no impact on ebf
Then my 2nd as soon as I could after; much sorer arm but no impact on ebf

I'd just dose up on paracetamol and ibuprofen. Neither transfer well across breast milk so I wouldn't worry unless you were using them all the time.

Crochetandcoffeebreaks · 23/11/2021 19:08

Sore arm for both which went after a day, the sad part was it making me get periods again 😭 the mirena coil completely stopped it but now I'm on a cycle every couple of months. Otherwise all good and no serious effects :)

AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 19:25

@User0ne I was going to take paracetamol if I started to feel any side effects I can only take ibuprofen in very small quantities as it can make my acid flair up very badly so I try to avoid taking this. Thank you for your comment and your advice.

OP posts:
AquaMarie · 23/11/2021 19:27

@Crochetandcoffeebreaks I saw from “pregnant and screwed” on a video that the vaccine can affect periods but should only be for the month after the vaccine is given. Sorry you have started with them again I haven’t had one yet as I am EBF at the moment. Thank you for your comment. I will update after 24 hours as my jab is in the morning. Wish me luck. X

I'm ebf, my period returned after ds got a cold 🤨. I had no side effects and got my first when my LO was around 9 weeks (delayed due to gallbladder removal thanks to Ds)
