My in-laws are visiting this weekend to see the grandkids & my FIL is not yet boosted. He was due a couple weeks ago but when he tried to book online, it gave him an appointment of mid December Confused Their area have been really bad with vaccines. They were late opening up to their age category & they had to wait the full 12 weeks for a booster. Whereas in our area, we got our vaccines in our 30’s weeks earlier than the rest of the country & 2nd vaccines within 6 weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️

Again, it seems we are doing better with boosters. We have 6 walk in centres locally doing boosters every weekend & one day midweek each.

Can my FIL get his booster here while they are up? Or are they for local residents only? They are being done at our stadium, a couple local churches & village halls.. 🤔 We appreciate local residents should be taking them up but they def aren’t doing as much as hoped & I worry about my FIL. He had AZ & will be at about 7.5 months by mid-December..

I think so long as it's been 6 months and you're eligible for the booster that a walk in centre won't be too bothered where people live. They will just want to get vaccines into people's arms, especially if they're not getting lots of people coming in. I'd definitely take him to a wall in centre if I were you.

Yes it will be fine.

He can book a booster at the stadium near you. There’s no rule that you have to get jabbed near your home address. My 16yo got jabbed in august when we were on holiday 250 miles away!

I had a walk in at Boots. No where near my closest.

Brilliant! Thank you all. We’ll get him jabbed!
