My husband and ds1 (20months) and ds2 (8months) are all covid positive. DH and DS1 are okay just a cold mostly but ds2 has had a temp of >38 since last night I'm alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen for him. He's just really unsettled.

Has anyone else's baby been like this with covid and how long did it last?

Is the temperature not coming down with medication? If not then phone 111 for advice.

It comes down for a couple hours then back up

My 9 month old had covid in October. She had a fever (not much above 38) and was really grumpy for a few days, and a runny nose for about a week. Maybe a v mild cough as well. It was horrendous at the time as I was trying to recover from covid myself and she wasn’t sleeping, but looking back she really wasn’t particularly unwell, just irritable.

Fingers crossed he starts feeling better v soon. My cousin who is a paediatrician was advising me at the time, she said not to worry as it is v unusual (in her experience) for babies to be very unwell with it. Of course phone 111 though if you’re concerned at all.

39.4 was its highest earlier but came down with paracetamol. Temp started at midnight so I'm hoping it's just a 24hr thing. He's very snotty and out of sorts hope it passes quickly

Luckily I'm negative
