Unwell Tween - LFT Positive

My 12yr old daughter tested positive on an LFT this morning. We’ve all gone for PCRs this afternoon - would be shocked if hers came back negative.

She is really feeling poorly. Her heart rate is 130+ and she has a temp of nearly 39C even though she’s had regular paracetamol today.

Not eating any food but taking small sips of water.

How long did your 12yr olds feel poorly for?

About 7 days in total, but was really feeling poorly for 5 of those.

I hope she feels better soon. My daughter made a good recovery and feels absolutely fine now. My son age 10 has a few lingering effects but generally recovered pretty well.

Hope she feels better soon, my 12 year old is also positive at the moment. They had a couple of ill days, they are normally never ill so it was worrying but pretty much fine now.

My dd is never normally ill either. I think she’s only had antibiotics twice in her life.

Glad both of yours are feeling better. Did anyone else in the household catch it?

My 6 year old has been the exact same, positive lft and very poorly (even ended up going by ambulance to hospital) but his PCR was negative. I think there's something going around similar to but not covid.

How scary for you all. Hope your DS is feeling better.

Her PCR has just come back positive so is definitely Covid for my dd.
