What is the pattern of covid symptoms ? How do people feel from day 1 to day 10?

Don't think there is one really. I was on the covid moan thread when I was isolating, and lots of us had a similar sort of 'bad headache, achey limbs, knackered, fuzzy head, lost taste and smell around day 3' thing going on, around the same sort of days, but other than that things differed. I didn't have a temperature at all, no cough really until my isolation ended, others were different.

I'm not sure there is a set pattern. I had a temp and slept loads. Didn't eat much for the best part of a week because I couldn't be arsed to chew, it was too much effort. No cough, no loss of taste/smell. Ds1 had the cough but basically nothing else.

Not sure there is a pattern

For me - 1st few days just like a cold, hit a brick wall on day 4, 5, 6, prob most ill I’ve been as an adult,, aches, skin hurt, head ache, couldn’t do much other than sleep, d and v, also lost sense of smell, started to improve a bit on day 7, then again on day 11, now I’m on day 20, more or less full recovered though still a bit tired.

Dh - head ache for 3 days and that’s it apart from loss of taste and smell.

Headache.
Headache and temp.
Headache and lost smell. Sore ear.
Headache and taste went funny.
Headache better but still tired.

Coughing and breathless...
Repeat coughing and breathless for the next week.

You do know symptoms can go on past day 10?
Or never appear at all?

RavingAnnie · 20/11/2021 23:39

There isn't a set pattern. Everyone I know has had fifteenth symptoms, occurring in different orders, on different timecscales.

My DH and I had it at the same time (so presumably had the same variant) and had very different symptoms and were off sick for different amounts of time.

@JanglyBeads

You do know symptoms can go on past day 10? Or never appear at all?
Well yes it was a general question with an example.
