Does DP need to isolate?

I'm sure track and trace will call soon enough but wondered if anyone else had experience

DP tested positive for Covid last Thursday, he was told Friday was his last day for isolating so today he'd be 'free'
We stayed separate in the house, but as I was negative I was allowed to go out and about
However, I have since tested positive for Covid now as of Thursday this week so now away to start my isolation. Does my partner need to isolate too?
No idea how the immunity directly after works. He's testing negative on lateral flows now but I know he can't get a PCR until 90 days after first testing positive so how does it work?

No. He's done.

MalbecandToast · 20/11/2021 06:57

No he no longer has to isolate.

willithappen · 20/11/2021 07:08

Thank you both!

Strange how it works, but glad he's now able to do the shop runs!

Yes! At least he can bring you goodies!

MalbecandToast · 20/11/2021 07:18

Absolutely! Rest up, take it easy and let him do all the running around Grin

willithappen · 20/11/2021 09:34

Deffo!
I'm 33 weeks pregnant as well so need all the running after I can get 😂
I'm okay just now though, just sneezing a lot and runny nose

Oh OP! I imagine you were feeling fed up with the pregnancy already so covid on top is pants Sad I hope you feel loads better soon Smile

willithappen · 20/11/2021 10:49

Yeah it's getting to the stages of being sore and difficult to do stuff already so throw Covid on top and it's not great!
But right now just feels like a 'head cold' really. So not too floored. My partner had it worse, either that or he had 'man flu Covid' and played it up lol
