3 jabs and no side effects at all

I've had my booster recently. After all the horror stories from friends and colleagues about how ill they were afterwards, I booked it for a time when I could rest for a couple of days if needed.

Nothing at all. Not even a sore arm. The same for the others, just once the arm was too sore to lay on at night but nothing worse than that.

Colleagues have had up to a week off they've been so ill! Am I just lucky or is there a reason I haven't felt ill? I did have Covid last December, before any vaccinations.

My mom had zero side effects. I had a mild fever for about 4 hours. DH has had his booster and felt tired for a few hours. Most of my family had minimal to zero side effects.

The fact is no one comes on the internet to talk about how they were fine after the jabs, but many of us are.

girlmom21 · 19/11/2021 09:55

I've been absolutely fine after both my jabs too

Satsunday · 19/11/2021 09:58

That was the same for my DH. No side effects after either AZ or the Pfizer booster.

TomelettewithGreggs · 19/11/2021 10:39

There are a 1000 posts on another thread about being too anxious to get the vaccine. I doubt there will be even 20 on this one. Bad news travels fast on the internet and good news does not.

MyComputerGetsSadWithoutMe · 19/11/2021 10:49

I haven't had a booster(not eligible), but I had no side effects with my first 2 vaccines, nothing at all! I was also prepared to be a bit ill too, but nothing!

ollyollyoxenfree · 19/11/2021 10:53

Confirmation & reporting bias for sure.

No one comes on to post about a non-event, and its also seems kind of dickish to swan onto a side effects thread and post your experience that you were totally fine Grin

I had slightly achey legs after second pfizer that went away with one dose paracetomol. Was in the pub that evening.

emptyvesselsmakethemostnoise · 19/11/2021 11:15

I've had my 2 covid jabs, had my booster and flu this week and no side effects with any I'm pleased to say

Cookerhood · 19/11/2021 11:18

The vast majority of people don't have any side effects, and if they do they are very mild, you just hear about the people who suffer.

Fl0w3ry · 19/11/2021 12:30

I had no side effects after the first one and strange stabbing pains in my thigh after the second one. Although the pains may have been unrelated given it went into my arm! I also had a risk of side effects because of allergies I have. I think like pps have said, you only hear the bad stories on the internet. The same way the focus is always on the people who are seriously ill with covid rather than the people who had it mild.

x2boys · 19/11/2021 12:35

Which one did you have?
I had my Booster last week all Pfizer no side affects with any .

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 19/11/2021 12:37

DH & DD have had no side effects.

Glinsk · 19/11/2021 13:36

Same here.
I got a slightly sore arm after my flu jab but 2 AZ and one Pfizer - zero.

mynameiscalypso · 19/11/2021 13:38

I always think that some people are quick to find side effects as well. I have a banging head ache today. I had my flu jab yesterday. Is it a side effect? Well it could be or it could be the fact that I'm exhausted from getting up at 5am all week with my toddler and have spent too long today staring at a computer screen and have not had enough water to drink.

NotMyselfWithoutCoffee · 19/11/2021 13:43

My husband and I both had side effects quite badly, I was worse though.
First Pfizer, nothing but a sore arm.
Second one, felt like I had flu, aches, pains, arm hurt I couldn't lift it, lymph nodes hurt and was very tired.. This lasted a few days.

Booster I felt much worse similar side effects but also a pounding headache, nausea and chest pain, but I only felt fluey for a day and arm was much less sore this time around.

SherryJane · 19/11/2021 13:45

AZ here. Not yet had booster but I had no side effects with what I've had.

PrincessPaws · 19/11/2021 13:53

Another one that has been completely fine after all 3, a slightly sore arm was the worst of it but I get that with any vaccination

Peanut82 · 19/11/2021 13:55

I've had both jabs and my booster, only side effect with all was a sore arm

Londonnight · 19/11/2021 15:08

I have had no side effects either, two AZ and a Pizer booster. None from my flu jab either.

Underparmummy · 19/11/2021 15:13

Went bright red and sweaty faced the evening after first AZ. Nothing after second AZ or Pfizer booster. I know I have antibodies as I do ons study for antibodies.

Ohmych · 19/11/2021 15:14

I had side affects with my first jab felt really rough for a day, had temp, shivering etc. 2nd and booster nothing apart from a sore arm.

Sunshinealligator · 19/11/2021 23:26

Pfizer-no symptoms on ant of my 3 jabs- however think I may have picked up covid within the last 5 days since my booster!

Hawkmoth · 19/11/2021 23:28

This is depressing. Had mine and flu jab today and was really hoping for a day alone in bed tomorrow.

Luredbyapomegranate · 19/11/2021 23:34

As far as we know, we don’t know why some people have side effects and some don’t. Side effects are a sign the vax is working, but if you don’t have any it doesn’t mean it isn’t.

It’s a mystery..

MrsSkylerWhite · 19/11/2021 23:37

Two AZs and Moderna booster. Ever so slightly sore jab sight for the rest of the day.

Everyone’s different though. Strong, sturdy friend was laid low for 2 days with the same 🤷‍♀️

Platax · 19/11/2021 23:42

I had a fairly sore arm with the first two Astra Zeneca jabs. With the booster Pfizer jab my arm was mildly tender for a day, and that was it.
