Delirium after COVID

Hi all, just a question (and please spare any judgement)
Unfortunately my mother is an anti vaxxer (despite all efforts) and is currently in hospital recovering from covid. She was very ill (not eating or moving out of bed and incontinent for a week) she refused medical treatment hence my reluctance to call them sooner. They did come and took her in (obviously).
She has now been in for 8 days and has come off oxygen but now has quite severe delirium and it’s very frightening. She is in her 50s and already has nerve and some minor neurological damage. I’m a little concerned at how long this might last or if it can lead to anything more permanent? Or if anyone has experienced this?

Thanks

Hi, I'm just interested to learn if your mother's delirium got any better?
