Firstly I'm 32 weeks pregnant and fully vaccinated. My fiancé's son who is 7 was here 2 weekends in a row. First weekend he was here he went home on the Sunday and by the Monday morning was not very well which was like 9 days ago and he was off school all week and came back on the Friday which was 5 nearly 6 days ago and was fine. In that time he had tested negative in 3 lateral flow tests. Today we found out his mums tested positive this morning and started feeling unwell yesterday which seems abit suspect as he wasn't well however his pcr was negative, only she was positive. She was out and about and at an interview on Friday when he was here so could have caught it then. Basically I'm just looking for opinions do you think we're in the clear or do you think we could still test positive? We don't have symptoms so no need yet for a pcr so we've been taking lateral flow tests which are all negative. Thanks in advance for any replies im abit stressed out!

It looks like he was with you when his DM was most infectious, ie 2 days before symptoms started, which was probably when he was with you so it is good for you. I suppose you won’t be contacted by test and trace as close contacts unless you spent time with his DM when you took the boy back home.

Unfortunately no-one on here can give you the answer, only time will tell. Hopefully he just had a cold.

This, people's opinions aren't going to affect whether you catch covid. Try not to worry and hope for the best.
