Would you re-test?

Dd seemed slightly under the weather during the weekend. Headache, sneezy, coughing. No temp! Pcr tested and negative results 12 hours later, seemed better yesterday so went back to school. Cough has pretty much gone and just a slight sniffle still. Otherwise fine, not been poorly in herself at all.

she has sen and some support with ta in classroom (not full 1:1). That ta has tested positive over the weekend after being in school
Friday. School have not told anyone I've found out by other means - it's a close knit village.

I know the school are not obligated to let parents know anymore but it does make me a little uneasy as Dd would have closer contact with said ta than most of the other children as she sits with her to help with her work!

Obviously Dd has had a negative test but if she hadn't been poorly, she wouldn't have been tested.

Would you get your children re tested in this situation?! What if her pcr was a false negative.

Or just assume it's a coincidence she had a cold!

I’d retest tomorrow, 5 days after last contact. That way there will have been time for any infection to show up. I had a child off with a cold, negative test but the tiredness and runny nose sounded like the symptoms our children are showing. Retested after coming into school- positive.

Thanks I'm going by DD's word that ta was last in Friday. So I'm not certain...
