Covid after booster

I was petr8of covid when it first emerged. I am still afraid of it to some degree but the vaccines have made my fear somewhat ease. Its still something I am avoiding.

I recently got a booster. I am thinking now, with vaccine waning - would I be better aiming to get covid within the next few more months before the vaccine wanes. I spent the past 22 months running away from this virus and being cautious and doing my best to be responsible. Here I am now contemplating going out in the hope of contracting the virus before the vaccine wanes. I won't do it yet unless if I actually do get covid in my day to day life. I am thinking maybe January.

I think deliberately going out to get it is nuts, frankly.
No you shouldn't be shutting yourself away ..get on with life, but I have had my booster...and am currently in isolation with Covid, and it has still been unpleasant...and doesn't mean I couldn't get it again..just means I'm less likely to die!

Also... it's unpredictable. I have shared my bed with dh for the last 10 days ..with Covid. He hasn't caught it (not had his booster yet either) now has my son. My grandchild.. baby of 6 months did though (obviously before we realised I had Covid)

To deliberately get it, means that you have a high chance of also infecting people..because you won't know immediately.. I tested negative the day I was with my baby grandson. The next day (I had to test daily as there were cases in my classroom) I was positive... too late, I'd infected someone incredible precious and vulnerable :(

Yea go for it

How can you actively catch it? Hmm my DD was licking a flipping shopping trolley in the height of covid and we appear to have evaded it all this time.
How do you know you haven’t had it already and we asymptomatic?
