Moderna booster - feel like I have flu

I had my moderna booster yesterday and I feel so incredibly ill. I've laid on the sofa all day, my arm is throbbing, my head hurts, my body aches and is sensitive all over, I keep going hot and cold, I feel weak and nauseous, and can't stand up without getting dizzy.

I'm sure it's normal but does anyone know how long it will last? I need to work tomorrow but feel too ill at the moment.

You'll hopefully be feeling better by tomorrow, maybe a bit off still but better than today.
I also had my Moderna booster yesterday and am exhausted with a very sore arm!

Hiya was coming on to say same thing, booster on sat and feel bloody awful flu like with aching muscles, nausea, throbbing achy arm which I can barely lift. I had no reaction at all
To the original 2 jabs behind slight arm soreness so this has thrown me slightly!

I was the same, had mine on Thursday, felt rough all day Friday but felt better yesterday. Arm still a little sore though.

I had moderna booster on Thursday. Felt like you on Fri, slightly better on Sat and almost back to normal today.

Helped massively that I slept ok last night until late, but Thurs & Fri night I kept waking as I was too hot. So I don’t think I would have been ok to work this morning, but I would have been fine by this afternoon.

Depends on what your job is though. I wfh which I think makes a difference if you’re not feeling 100%.

The worst bits have been the dizziness, muscle aches and inability to regulate my body temperature. I was cold, even fully dressed with a heated throw and a blanket on top.

Arm is still sore and hot though.

Oh I'm feeling the same, had mine at 4pm Saturday and have felt awful today, I'm not sure I'm going to be well enough for work tomorrow, might have to take a days holiday, wasn't expecting to feel this bad

Concestor · 14/11/2021 22:42

No I wasn't expecting it either. I feel dreadful

I think it probably is normal, but I'd ring your GP
Both my in-laws had Moderna boosters about 2 weeks ago and both developed "flu" a few days later. High temp, flu symptoms. Lasted about 3-4 days for both.

Lulu1919 · 15/11/2021 06:30

Oh !!

I had no symptoms at all with Astra Z
Booked mine for just before Xmas....might change it

I had the Modena booster on Thursday night. Friday I woke up with a fever, sweats and feeling fluey. I had to spend the day in the sofa on Saturday. I felt properly ill. Yesterday I managed to work the dog. I feel fine today thank god. It was rough.
