Covid pcr results... weekend?

Do pcr results take longer at the weekend? Dd has had 2 tests in the last few months (both negative) and both back around 12 hours later. Tested again today. Wondering it'll be longer due to weekend?

Only concerned cos a little while ago Ds tested on a Sunday and results come through the Wednesday (tbh it was months ago). Others I know were tested at the same test site on the Monday the day after him & Tuesday and got the results within 24 hours. I should imagine things have improved since then though.

DD's have much been quicker lately but not at the weekend.

I tested in a Sunday morning, results back in the same day (positive). DS’s took 12 hrs longer than DH’s although they did them at the same time, at the same centre.

When we left they said 24-48 hours but can take up to 5 days. It was 20 hours.

We were told 12-24 today but to contact if nothing in 3 days! I hate the waiting game especially as it's likely it's just a cold! 🤷‍♀️

Gosh 12-24 is quick. You must be nearer the lab than us

We had tests on Friday evening, were back 9am yeatetday morning.
My work friends had some yesterday afternoon and were back early hours of this morning! So weve been receiving results over the weekend this week about 14/16 hours after the tests!

My daughter had a test a few weeks ago on a Saturday morning and came back almost 24 hours later.

Sorry forgot to say we're south east (but out of London area)

I tested yesterday (South East) and results were back in 19 hours.

They seem to process all the tests here no matter what time you test.

We.tested at 9am and 4pm on the same day.
Results came.through at midnight by email and 6 the next morning by text.

I went at 1 today and hoping for it back before 12 so I can go to work

I'm still waiting for mine and I went at 1030 yesterday whereas I know someone who went at 9 am yesterday and had them by 9 last night. I've just had a text from someone and they went yesterday afternoon and have just received their results. I think they just send off batches as and when, don't know where mine has disappeared to 🤷🏼‍♀️
