Self Care after Covid

I know a few of us have had recently / going through at the moment Covid with a range of symptoms , I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve pleased I’m starting to feel a little better, although still very tired, but I’m also feeling a little irritable with a couple more days of isolation to go (must be starting to feel better lol!) but also randomly a little shocked / emotional that Covid actually struck!
Has anyone else felt a bit emotional? Feels silly lol. But I just wondered for those of you who have been through Covid how did you look after yourself the first week or two after? Did you ease into work? Took it a bit more easier than normal?

I can relate to this very strongly OP. I was quite ill with Covid 5 weeks ago. My physical recovery has been good, but I struggled badly with anxiety afterwards, about how very ill I'd been. I recommend taking it easy, lots of self care and little treats, distractions etc. Take a look at the NHS My Covid Recovery website.

My isolation is up tomorrow. I’m still coughing a bit and I don’t feel ready to go out in the world. I do physically, I’m ok apart from the cough but mentally I feel weak. My kids are resuming their team sports on sat and the thought of being in a crowded place is making me very anxious.

I think this is is related to the fact that I have it to 3 other people and consequently their families when I had it and didn’t know. One of whom as been quite nasty.

Does anyone have any tips for easing the guilt of infecting others. It’s eating me up, far worse than the virus.

Aww @Isolateykatey try not to blame yourself. I don’t know about where you live but here cases are so high, I know more people experiencing Covid now than at anytime during the last 18 months, you don’t even know for sure that the people definitely caught it from you?
Thank you for the website @Bookridden I ll have a look at that.
