Anyone out there had their 3rd booster and caught Covid at least 2 weeks later? Just wondering what the effectiveness is with the 3rd shot. I’m hoping that when I have my 3rd I won’t catch Covid at all. Won’t be due u til jan 22 though.

The vaccine/booster takes up to 2 weeks to take effect. If you've caught a cold more than two weeks later, it's just that - a cold. The Covid vaccine won't stop you catching a cold!

That said, the latest symptoms (for fully vaccinated people) are very similar to those of a cold, so if you're worried - or are at risk of infecting other people - then take a test.

There’s been a post running here where one person was probably infected before getting booster to others who have had the booster and have caught covid after. All of these said their symptoms were mild, although we don’t know their ages and whether they are vulnerable or not, but all were pleased to have received the booster.

Be aware!! My symptoms after catching covid well over 14 days post booster was very much like cold, which is great but still Covid and unclear if still infectious to other people etc.
Negative LFTs until a good few days into feeling under the weather.

My symptoms were not classic covid at all, very very much like a cold. So much so that test and protect registered it as an asymptomatic case.
