DP has just got back from the doctors, he had been ill but all asthma related and so thought it was an asthma flare up thanks to the weather change etc, he’d been for some tests last week and went back today for the results, turns out he’d had Covid recently.... except in the last 4 weeks he’s take 2 pcr test and many lft test all of which had come back negative. He’d took one for a temperature, which came back negative nd again a week later as someone in his office tested positive so they asked if he would get tested, came back negative. So we thought he’d just got flu and so he was out and about once the temperature waned. We’d even visited his vulnerable father. Anyone else have this happen or similar happen....?

LFTs are thought to give anything up to 40% false negatives. The PCR should be more reliable.
There are loads of people ill with bogstandard winter viruses though at the moment. DD last week, dh this. I feel like I'm getting it. Could be that.

How do you know he had it? Antibody tests? If it showed IgM that is a recent infection IgG could be any time up to +/- 6 months ago.
