Flu jab side effects? Or covid?

I had my flu jab last week & yesterday I started feeling rough, I couldn't get warm & had no appetite (which she said might be a side effect of the vaccine).
I woke up at 4am feeling hot and rubbish so took my temperature. It was 37.7 and NHS website says fever is 37 8. I don't have a cough or any loss of smell or taste.
I've booked a PCR for this afternoon just in case but do you think this could just be the flu jab, suddenly starting 5 days after I had it?

You’ve done the right thing with the pcr. Covid symptoms in fully vaccinated people are no longer the classic ones. It’s headache, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing and then cough. It’s probably another bug but best to check. My Covid started like your symptoms but with a positive lft!

Hope you feel better soon. Flowers

I had my flu jab yesterday and the nurse said any symptoms after 3 days were likely something else not a reaction to the jab.

Thanks @PurpleDaisies I'm just feeling achey and hot and a bit stomachy at the moment, so fingers crossed!

That's kind of what I thought @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor it's just the loss of appetite makes me think its related. Guess I'll find out soon!

That doesn’t really sound quite right for flu vaccine side effects a week later. Other viruses are available. Hopefully it will be one of those (and it goes away!). If you’ve got a lft at home you could try that. It doesn’t rule out Covid if negative but might show you that’s what it is.

I've done 2 lft tests (one at 4am 🙈) and they're both negative so fingers crossed...

Will cross my fingers. Ten days at home isn’t much fun (I’m on my last day now).

Excellent news! I’ve got a book and I’m going to sit in a coffee shop and read it. Can’t wait!
