What's my chances of getting it?
Teacher, the class next door has lots of cases. I was in the class every day last week albeit briefly- setting up laptop etc. We share a staffroom and all the kids play together outside. I'm negative on lft now and did get pcr as precaution today- no results yet but I'm still in class.

I got it yesterday confirmed. Also a teacher. Case numbers jn my school massively died down so how the fuck I managed to go nearly 2 years and not get it and get it now? Defiantly got it from school as don't go anywhere else. I hope you dont

Really the chances are 100% sooner or later, unless you have some superior cross immunity from another previous coronavirus infection. The anxiety you have sounds worse than any cold.

@sweetbabycheeses99 not anxiety really I've taught throughout the pandemic so this is nothing and I'm double jabbed. I'm asking about this specific time.

Really unwell actually but only on day 2. 40 degree temp and my shoulder hurts but can breathe OK. It's definitely not just a mild cold for me, more like the flu

Nearly half my class caught it a short space of time last half term. I PCR tested twice in the 10 day period the majority were off and didn’t get it despite spending all day with them! I’m double jabbed and had confirmed covid in the first wave but still not sure how I avoided it.

My son had it 2 weeks ago.. my dh, dd and myself didn't catch it. We are double jabbed daughter single jab. Thought we would definitely catch..

Honestly no one knows, it’s so random. Some people in the same households don’t get it. We sat around a table with my BIL who tested positive the next day. With me next to him & DH opposite him, nothing yet a few days later my DM who was at the other end of the table tested positive.
