Hi, my daughter just tested positive on a LFT the one where you just swab your nostril, I've just made her do the throat and nose one that's negative, she's no symptoms so do I go from the positive one and do a PCR?

Yes, you didn't need to do a second one. PCR.

Same happened to ds and me. First positive lfts in the evening. In the morning we tested again and got both negative. We went to have pcr tests and they were negative. Back to normal for us.

She's no symptoms, seems perfectly well. Typical had an appointment at school for her tomorrow.

I don’t know if you’re aware that a positive lateral flow is very very unlikely to be wrong (4% or less of them are), whereas a negative PCR can be wrong (30% of them are). (If you have cold or flu symptoms that makes it even more likely that you have COVID.)

Unfortunately the official advice is still to accept the PCR results though.

That's what happened to me. I took that I am negative and lfts were dodgy.
