Ds 11 , on day 11 today had a temp from beginning was on calpol/nurofen which has kept it under control.

Yesterday track and trace rang to say his isolation had finished asked about symptoms his temp had spiked 38.1 which it did evening before but came back down .mentioned this they said fine with cough , loss of taste and smell but needs another 48hrs with temp and after that would need another pcr if not staying down.

He’s ok in himself a bit more tired then usual and not as hungry as usual but is eating his meals . Checked temp now before bed was 37.7 is that ok for school tomorrow. 36.4 this morning, 37.1 afternoon . If it doesn’t go to 38is that ok not contagious .

Definitely do not do another pcr - you shouldn’t retest for 90 days unless new symptoms develop.

I was told to continue to isolate after 10 if I still had a fever, runny nose & sneezing or d&v - until the symptoms were resolved.

Thanks don’t know why he said that .. his words “after 48hrs I would think of getting another pcr “.

Honestly I would never get him back in school at this rate and he’s missed so much ,obs I want him to be well enough and not be at risk of passing it on . Frustrating as it stays normal through the day. Just has that little spike in evening .
