Pressure in head and dizzy

Has anyone had this as their only symptom? I feel fine otherwise no cough no temperature. But started feeling like the room was spinning yesterday and this morning it’s worse and I have a horrible pressure on my head. It’s also making me feel confused and like I don’t know what’s going on and struggle to make any sense. This post is really difficult for me to concentrate to write. I will do a lateral flow but wanted to know if this could be Covid if people have had similar or if it’s probably something else? Thanks

This was my first symptom. Dizzy but no nausea.

I've gone on to get more classic symptoms, but definitely get tested x

Get a PCR but also I think you need to phone 111 for advice and speak to someone medical. If you’re feeling confused and struggling to speak then I would say you need to go to A&E. is there anyone who can take you as it will be quicker than an ambulance? Make sure someone in real life knows how you are feeling and can check on you if you are on your own/decide not to get help.

I can’t go to A&E at the moment as my DH is out with our eldest and he is the only one who could drive me. I don’t feel like I could drive myself. I’ve got my 6 month old with me and she is breastfed and won’t take a bottle so don’t know if I could leave her. I’ve take. Paracetamol and feeling worse not better. The pressure is so bad and I feel like I can’t focus properly with my vision. I’ve asked my DH to come home and I have just put baby in bouncer with tv on as I feel so rough x

I had intense pressure in my head when I was ill with covid (I think covid caused a sinus infection or pressure)

RestingStitchFace · 07/11/2021 11:55

I echo previous poster who said don't take Dr Mumsnet for it, get yourself checked out.

However, for the record, I did get a feeling of pressure/swelling in the head with Covid. For me it was piercing headaches and earache, felt like my brain was going to push through my skull and ears. I have friends who had similar but their pain was more focused on sinuses. Apparently Covid causes inflammation in the brain. (I caught Covid before vaccines so got it full welly. If you are vaccinated hopefully your immune response will be quicker/stronger.) I did recover within - although I have some residual tinnitus in my ears.

But please, get checked out.

That's interesting, I have also been left with tinnitus, sinus pressure can also be in head, jaw face and ears
