Booster jab and quarantine rules

Do we think that there is going to be a wider plan to introduce the booster jab for the rest of the vaccine eligible population?

I’ve seen articles today talking about how they’ll be reintroducing quarantine for people who refuse a third jab. I’m happy to have another booster but I’m going to be annoyed if I’m not offered the opportunity for one and then can’t travel quarantine free!

Yes I saw that this morning. I Don't think will bring it in to many not entitled to it unless they start offering to younger groups. Plus some of younger groups not long had their second dose

I’m a month away from my six month mark. I want a booster. I won’t be eligible. DH is over 50 so he’s getting his. We have DC who will bring it back from school. I’d like to be boosted too.

Luvacuppatea · 07/11/2021 09:11

Can’t see it happening any time soon, given that the booster is currently only for a very specific portion of the population. Also most countries are struggling to get first and second jobs into people and a vanishingly small number are being offering their citizens boosters. To introduce travel restrictions (ie quarantining) for those entering the country not having had three doses of vaccine would be, frankly, mamouth and would kill the tourist industry we are trying so hard to rebuild. I feel that this report is the Mail online trying to raise booster uptake, because the BBC are just reporting that we need boosters ‘to save Christmas’! Sounds very much like arm twisting at this stage.............

Same here.

I believe some countries are starting to increase restrictions for those who haven't had three jabs.

DumplingsAndStew · 07/11/2021 09:19

Considering there are still thousands of CEV or CV (maybe millions?) in the UK waiting to get their second or boosters, I'll expect them to announce a free for all any day now 🙄

DobbyTheHouseElk · 07/11/2021 09:26

If you are over 50 you don’t need to wait to be called. You can book online.

So need booster to save Christmas on BBC and need booster to travel in the Mail.

As expected
