Hello I was CEV category last time so I’m now able to book my vaccine I’ve booked it for next Tuesday but it’ll be 1 week less than 6 months. Is that allowed will I be turned away?

My DH has been able to book exactly 180 days from his second dose. (that is a few days less than 6 months).

Is that your situation? because that should be fine.

Switch82 · 06/11/2021 17:51

Oh yes possibly actually just looked my vaccination (2nd one) was 10th May and I’ve got my booster booked for Tuesday 9th Nov so it’s only a day out! Hopefully that should be ok!

I think that's 180 days.

Cookerhood · 06/11/2021 21:03

Hasn't it now been reduced to 5 months anyway?

Player456 · 06/11/2021 21:13

I had mine today, I had my last AZ dose on 8th May and they said it was fine.

PheasantsNest · 06/11/2021 21:35

@Cookerhood you can book from 5 months but it's still 6 months to actually have the vaccine.

Cookerhood · 06/11/2021 21:38

Oh I see, thank you

Switch82 · 06/11/2021 22:07

Hoping I’ll be ok on the 180 day rule!

Booster dose is Pfizer

Cookerhood · 06/11/2021 22:40

All boosters are either Pfizer or Moderna (half dose for Moderna) unless there is a clinical reason why they can't be used.

I had AZ for the first two doses, I had Pfizer today (our vaccination site is only doing Pfizer).
Switch82 · 07/11/2021 11:49

Thank you! I’m hoping not to get turned away on Tuesday a day before I’m fully 6 months!

It will depend on the centre. We were saying exactly 6 months. Another centre I know was allowing a week early. The computer system flashes up a message if it's less than 180 days but you can ignore it.

I might re-arrange to Weds!

Switch82 · 07/11/2021 14:11

Moved to Weds exactly 6 months.

Scotland's letter says 24 weeks. My partner booked for his tomorrow 25 weeks 6 days.
