Classic covid symptoms but negative tests

My daughters dad has got a continuous cough and fever which he's had for 3 days. But has had negative LFT and PCR tests.

Are the results sometimes wrong?

We aren't together any more but I'm very concerned about him as he's had no vaccines and he has MS. I tried to persuade him to have the jabs, if not for anyone else's sake for our baby daughters sake. He's not young either - he's 52.

He lives alone so there is nobody to keep an eye on him.

Lots of 'normal' coughs and colds going around at the moment that aren't Covid so he has probably got one of those. Unlikely for PCR to be wrong as well as LTFs.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I suppose it can depend if you do the test correctly though? He's a covid denier (or was) so I'm not sure how seriously he took it 😬

Colds now are hitting harder than usual because our immune systems being in overload due to not being sick since social distancing/masks/no mixing has been in place. They're still awful

Yeah I'm hoping it's just a bad cold. He normally shakes off illness but seems worse

I would suggest a repeat test - he may have done it too early into symptoms and that’s why it was negative.
